The first time I used it (I'm a VERY regular tanner and have been for years) I was on fire. The burn and the itch went away about 2 hours after I showered but it was much more intense than I expected. I thought that maybe I was just sensitive but the more I'm reading about tingle lotions online, the more I think that it's just like a fingerprint. Everyone reacts to lotions differently. This is Designer Skin's lowest tingle level. I've been using it regularly for about a month now and still find it rather intense but I'm getting the results I want so I plan to stick with it. However, I tried Swedish Beauty's Level 2 (Pink Diamond) as a free sample the other day and I didn't find it nearly as intense as this lotion.
