I'm always nervous about putting tanning lotion on my face - the oil in the lotion will usually cause a blemish or two. This lotion has a very pleasant smell but it's not overpowering and it goes on my face without feeling greasy. I'm getting a nice natural looking tan colour as well - not as dark as when I've used triple bronzer lotions in the past. But I purchased this more for the anti-aging and hypoallergenic properties - I was less concerned about looking like I belonged on the cast of Jersey Shore. No one would ever notice a tan/lotion/shimmer/glimmer/scent ...not one bit. The color I got so far from 3 uses, it a pretty golden brown.. but this is dha free, natural bronzers in it. I'm very happy with my color- as I don't want to look like I belong on Jersey Shore, take that however you want. I tanned about 6 hours ago (using this) and I don't smell like I went to tan AT ALL and I lay the lotion on THICK! Because it feels so good and i don't wanna get dry or burn. And I didn't. I do smell clean, that's about it. I don't feel oily, or dry, just smooth. I recommend for any skin type, skin color, or gender. If you are looking to be super dark when you leave the salon, this one isnt for you. It is a very sweet subtle lotion. Tan Company recently had their Customer Appreciation day, so I purchased two of these bottles for $50. Because this lotion gets me dark and holds my color so well, I only have to tan twice a week. (I've even gone for an entire week without tanning and still had good color) So the two bottles I bought will last me for well over a year. The lotion makes my skin feel really silky right when I put it on and it smells good. There's no strong after-smell and I see immediate dark color. I usually tan after work then go to the gym, so I don't usually shower for a few hours after I tan. The color develops very well over a few hours.
